The people of India and Asia have taken Turmeric for thousands of years. It is used in curry, foods, and as a medicinal herb. The root is the part of the Turmeric plant that is utilized. The active ingredients in Turmeric are collectively called Curcuminoids, or Curcumin (kur-kyoo-min) for short. There have been hundreds clinical studies and research articles written on Curcumin studying a wide range of health conditions.
